According to some players such things as "technique" are in their words BORING... however I rather disagree. Technique means you know how to keep the win in hand and that you are showing total control over the position - something that should always please use when we can do so by showing off our good technique in chess. After all isn't this one of the very facets of the great Jose Raul Capablanca's game that so impressed the chess world when he ruled it during his day as World Champion?
I played the following game without sight of board against my good friend Judge Bean who is a social chess player who enjoys playing in live time online. Whenever we get together we have a good time - chesswise and otherwise! Enjoy this straightforward match that we played earlier on in the day at Judge's place - I hope that you find it to be an entertaining game. Please do notice how I always sought to exchange down into the endgame once having achieved a pawn up and a better pawn structure. Such things are to be taken care of and the best way to do that is to remove the obstacles - your opponent's pieces. Remember it is very difficult for your opponent to build his house on "your board" - if you take away all of his tools!
